Casual and Comfortable

When most people think of fashion or style they think of how elaborate and uncomfortable it all has to be. But in reality, style is about expressing yourself in your own way. Like I always want to be comfortable. For example, I was walking around town in the outfit below. I like how it looks put together but I was essentially wearing a t-shirt and jeans. The accessories and beadwork just make it look put together. Pieces like this shirt that are comfortable with some sort of detail are great for anyone's wardrobe because you can chuck it on and no one will know it took you ten minutes to get ready.

Fine Spring Days

On fine spring days, girls are wearing flowey dresses. Comfortable "bohemian" styled dresses with hints of lace, embroidery, and mesh are now the image of sunny days. Pairing a dress with a pair of 'Jesus sandals' or just a casual pair of ruggedy boots is cute and comfortable for going out. These daytime casual dresses can also be paired with a structured motto jacket and some heeled boots to turn into a spring night time look. Emily (the blonde), Sam, and I love to throw on our dresses on a Sunday afternoon and go out for some food out in town. Sitting outdoors and sipping lemonade definitely defines a perfect spring day.

First Sunny Day of 2014

The weather is finally warming up again and my favorite thing to do on a sunny day is go to the park for a picnic with some friends. Being a broke high school student, finding free things that are also fun gets a little tough sometimes. In my opinion, all you need for a perfect day is some good company. Add that along with a big blanket, a sunny day, a picnic basket and you've got yourself a lovely day. Dressing up for a day is part of the fun for me; so throw on a brimmed hat, loose tank, comfy shorts, casual slingbacks and enjoy sitting under a tree!

It's Almost Spring!

In California, we are starting to feel spring approaching. This means a lot more dresses. Personally, I love a very comfortable and easy dress; something I can throw on and look good instantly. I think the best dresses for these situations are of the babydoll or shift dress shape. These are very casual shapes that still look put together. Today, I wore a babydoll shaped dress that is one of my favorites.

Sorry for being absent for a long time. The month of February was a busy one for Gaby and I. I promise we will be posting more this month.
